Ken Wright

After an undergraduate law degree and a post grad MBA from the Scottish Business School (Edinburgh University) Ken started in the ad business over 20 years ago as a trainee with Boase Massimi Pollitt (BMP) in London.

From ‘86 - ‘89 he worked in Paris (Pan European role) for Roux Seguella Cayzac et Goudard (RSCG) on Citroen (Auto) and Pernod Ricard (Scotch whisky brands).

He returned to the UK in late 1989 and joined McCann Erickson London as an Account Director running Nescafe, Cereal Partners (Nestle/General Mills, Cereal JV) and Esso Lubricants/Esso Corporate business.

In 1992 he joined the International division of McCann, still based in London and ran Boots Healthcare International (BHI) - Nurofen, Strepsils (Global), Goodyear Tyre & Rubber (Europe) and Cathay Pacific Airways (Europe).

In 1995, aged 34, Ken was appointed Vice President Global Account Director, the youngest in the McCann network.

In 1998 he relocated to Hong Kong where he combined being Global Account Director for Cathay Pacific Airways with being Managing Director of McCann Hong Kong.

After 11 years with McCann Ken joined DMB&B Asia Pacific as CEO of Great China running 5 offices Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Taipei and working across this fast growing region with clients including P&G, Philips, Coca-Cola, KFC, Hyatt Hotels and Siemens.

Post the sale of DMB&B to the Publicis Group at the end of 2002 Ken returned to the UK to join Ogilvy where as Global Brand Director he was responsible for 2 of Ogilvy’s key Global clients, British Petroleum (BP) and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

Since March 2008, Ken has been Worldwide Managing Director on Ogilvy’s Unilever business.
