Duncan Stokes

Duncan has spent some 32 years in the printing and advertising/direct marketing industries, starting his working career as an apprentice compositor, completing City and Guilds Basic and Advanced Levels.

His career was not defined in direct marketing but he spent many years as creative services director at top agencies WWAV Rapp Collins and Grey Integrated.

He joined OgilvyOne 12 years ago as creative services director and after five years was also given group responsibility for Ogilvy and Mather as group creative services director. He is currently responsible for a 60 strong creative service team, which includes internal studio, typographic design, retouching pre press and supplier purchasing. Other responsibilities include managing Redworks Europe.

Duncan is a regular speaker for Printing Industries Research Association (PIRA) and Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA), Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and various trade bodies both in the UK and internationally.His main interest outside work is his collection of motorcycles and he will happily bore anyone into submission on the subject.
