19 November 2009

Stealth Sound System, the multi-award-winning mobile app created by Ogilvy Advertising in London for its client Fanta, has picked up yet another gong – this time a global award.

At last night’s Mobile Marketing Association Awards in Los Angeles, the app (created by Jon Morgan and Mike Watson) won the prestigious MMA Award For Overall Excellence.

“The finalists and winners for this year’s Global MMA Awards represent the mobile marketing pioneers and thought leaders who continue to shape our industry’s best practices through innovative and increasingly effective campaigns that raise the bar for all stakeholders within the mobile marketing community and beyond,” says Mike Wehrs, president and CEO of the MMA. “As the mobile marketing channel evolves and our awards process grows more competitive each year, we we always look forward to honoring our industry’s finest leaders and most successful campaigns.”

The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) is the premier global trade association for the mobile marketing industry. It has over 700 member companies in 40 countries around the globe. For more info go here.

New Ford Focus campaign just loves the spotlight

5 November 2009

Ogilvy Advertising has created a new campaign for Ford Focus. With the model halfway through its lifecycle, the aim was to highlight the attraction of the Focus’ “kinetic design“. The result is a campaign that shows beams of light forming different shapes as they’re attracted to the car.

Launched across Europe on 2nd November, the campaign covers print, poster and TV. Click on the image above to see the beams of light perform a Marylin Monroe tribute to the car, whilst below a photographer can’t help but take a shot of the Focus.

The creative team was Camilla Herberstein, Dom Sweeney and John Crozier.

Fanta SSS campaign pulls in another plaudit

4 November 2009

Ogilvy Advertising’s widely-lauded Stealth Sound System campaign for Fanta garnered another accolade at the Campaign Big Awards, taking the top digital prize in the keenly-fought “grocery, soft drinks and household” sector.

And the campaign narrowly failed to take gold in the integrated category, where it was a finalist, but no winner was eventually awarded.

SSS is a ground-breaking mobile phone application for Fanta that allows the brand’s younger consumers to communicate with each other without adults hearing. It has proved a huge hit with its audience and at the last count had been downloaded by more than 500,000 of them.
