Happy Boxing Day from Hellmann’s and O&M

22 November 2010

Many people claim they enjoy Boxing day more than Christmas Day itself. And you can see why – Boxing Day is the day when people relax and unwind. It’s a welcome opportunity to put your feet up, and enjoy time with friends and family without too much pressure, running around and unwanted guests.

Almost as many people say they enjoy the food more, too – the fridge is still full of tasty food and Christmas leftovers, which can be prepared the way you want them.

Hellmann’s, of course, can transform these leftovers into a delicious buffet or a simple supper, as this new ad campaign by Ogilvy & Mather (which breaks on TV tonight – see above) demonstrates.

Hellmann’s is already used on Boxing Day for traditional turkey sandwiches and salads, but the campaign developed by O&M is designed to show new and exciting ways you can use your leftovers to make an exciting range of recipes. The ads were written by Alun Howell, art directed by Guilherme Nobrega and directed by Danny Cohen. We’ll be unveiling the print work in the next few days.

So kick back and relax, and enjoy the new Hellmann’s TVC and print ads. Happy Boxing Day from the Ogilvy Hellmann’s team!

Ogilvy sauces additional spark to create new flavoursome Hellmann’s Mayonnaise campaign

4 November 2010

Ogilvy & Mather Advertising has created a print campaign to promote Hellmann’s new ‘With a Spark’ range of flavoured mayonnaise.

The ad hopes to inspire people to get creative with the four new varieties: Hellmann’s Mayonnaise with a pinch of mustard; with a spark of chilli; with a touch of garlic and with a zing of lemon.

Look out for 6-sheet executions on a bus stop near you now and press ads in popular women’s, housekeeping and food magazines.

The ad was written by Alun Howell and art directed by Guilherme Nobrega. It was photographed by Davd Sykes.

Great work that really works: O&M London scoops a trio of gongs at the IPA Effie Awards

3 November 2010

According to Ogilvy Group UK planning director Rachel Hatton (pictured above), “O&M is definitely back in the game” following a good showing at the IPA Effectiveness Awards in London last night.

The agency  picked up five awards globally, three from London, one from Hong Kong and one from Singapore.

They are, for London:  Bronze for Barclays Wealth; Bronze for Dove Deodorant; Bronze for Kodak Printers. And Bronze for MTR (the Hong Kong Subway) from O&M Hong Kong, and Silver for Comfort in Asia Pacific from O&M Singapore.

Rachel says: “These awards are considered the gold standard by the client community as they demonstrate the power of creativity to deliver business results. Winning one is extremely tough: your paper has to convince two panels of judges that your campaign delivered a significant profit for the client. Putting a paper together takes many weeks of analysis and hard graft.

“So a massive well done to the winning authors: Nick Strauss (Barclays Wealth), Stephanie Tuesley (Dove Deodorant), Adrian Zambardino (Kodak Printers), Terence Ling (MTR) and Benoit Wiesser (Comfort). They deserve our respect and admiration as well as our congratulations.”

We’ll be featuring the three London winners in more detail over the coming days – so don’t forget to come back often!
