Two further TV ads in American Express’ “My Life” campaign have been unveiled by OgilvyOne London, following the release of its “professionals” work earlier this month (see post from 15th January below).

As with the earlier film, the additional ads feature non-celebrity characters, one a professional double bass player, the other a photographer. They continue the theme of American Express providing fuss-free assistance wherever you are.

OgilvyOne London creates new Amex “My Life, My Card” campaign for overseas markets

15 January 2009

American Express is famous for its “My life, My Card” campaign, which featured celebrities like Kate Winslet, Martin Scorsese and Jose Morinho.

The latest “MLMC” campaign is called “Professionals” moves away from the celeb theme and features a journalist and a photographer, whizzing around the world in search of their scoop – the Amex card makes everything happen with the minimum of fuss. The ad was created by OgilvyOne London, with help from colleagues in Ogilvy South Africa. Director was Ian Gabriel.

The ad has been made for American Express GNS (Global Network Services) and will therefore not be shown in the UK – rather, it is available for American Express international bank partners to air throughout 2009. Planned take up includes markets such as South Africa, Israel, Greece, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Russia, Estonia, Saudi Arabia and Macau.

There’s also some terriffic print work and another couple of TV executions – watch this space over the next few days for more!
