Hugh joined Grey London in 1993 and after two years of working with a range of brands, including Galaxy and Maltesers, he moved onto Saatchi and Saatchi, joining as an account director before being appointed to the agency board after just two years.
In 1998 Hugh started his 11 year tenure at BBH, during which time, as group business director, he presided over the successful global campaign for Axe/Lynx. He also oversaw popular campaigns for Tango and J20 for Britvic, worked on the Johnnie Walker “Keep Walking” campaign and, in addition, was global new business director for two years.
In January 2010 Hugh came to Ogilvy & Mather Advertising as the new CEO.
He enjoys golf and taking his two boys to Watford football club on a Saturday, result permitting.
