Ros joined the ad business straight from University as a graduate trainee, having studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford.
She has always worked for large multinational agencies: Leo Burnett; McCann: JWT and Ogilvy -twice. First time around at Ogilvy she worked on the famous “No FT, no Comment” campaign for the Financial Times – and found that the copywriter was a poet that she had studied at school!
Since then, Ros has worked on a broad range of blue chip clients. Her packaged goods experience includes: Procter, Unilever, Reckitt, Kellogg, Kraft, Beecham, Nestle and Tropicana; she claims she is the only person at Ogilvy to have worked on toilet cleaners for three different clients!
Her financial experience includes: National Savings; Bradford and Bingley; NatWest, Barclays, HSBC, and now, of course, Amex. Retail experience includes: Boots, B&Q and Macy’s. Alcoholic drinks: Bacardi, Bulmers, Domecq. Pharmaceuticals: BHI, Warner Lambert, Pfizer, and Durex.
Ros was the first female MD of JWT London and President of JWT Chicago and on Regional and Global businesses for a number of clients including Procter; Reckitt: Nestle: Kraft: Tropicana and Amex.
Outside work she is married with two children and two dogs and is a governor of a school for children with autism.
