The Group Board

Senior director, Ogilvy PR London

Ross is a senior director and new member of the Ogilvy PR London team. He oversees the corporate practice and is responsible for growing Ogilvy PR’s business in the UK and as a hub for European business.

His role at Ogilvy is to strategically lead accounts and ensure that campaigns are delivered against client objectives.

Ross began his career writing for newspapers in Scotland then broke into PR with small Scottish outfit Budge Newton working for the Health Education Board for Scotland. He then switched to London and spent eight years rising up through the ranks at Weber Shandwick learning the trade of handling corporate communications for major international blue chips such as Siemens, ExxonMobil and TNT.

Headhunted to Edelman, he moved to head up their global relationship with Shell – the first time the oil major had created a global PR network with a single agency. That account is now a multi-million dollar powerhouse for Edelman. He ended his time at Edelman running a practice group specialising in major multi-country accounts having introduced clients such as the British Council, Nissan and most recently Visit London.

Ross has a MA Hons French and German Language and Literature from Glasgow University.
